Origins
Altitide was founded to accomplish one goal: help scientists scale nucleotide workflows. Richard Grewelle began his career at the intersection of genetics and mathematics. He wasn't satisfied only learning, so he joined the biotech startup ecosystem as a scientist to help build a new DNA synthesis platform. He then took this expertise in quantitative biology and nucleotide chemistry and applied it to drug target discovery, building workflows and advanced datasets to integrate with modern AI capabilities. He founded Altitide to work for scientists that are bottlenecked by their current nucleotide workflows.
